Visiting Saijo Tsuru in Hiroshima｜広島・西条鶴へ酒蔵見学

広島の西城鶴さんへ

西条鶴さんへ行ってきました。
I visited Saijo Tsuru Sake Brewery.

直売所に入ると、「10分後に酒蔵見学があります」と言われました。
When I entered the shop, I was told that there would be a brewery tour in ten minutes.

1500円で試飲もできるそうです。
I was also told that I could try some sake for 1,500 yen.

これはぜひ見てみたいと思いました。
I really wanted to see it.

しかも、案内をしてくれる方は、実際に日本酒を造っている方でした。
The person giving the tour actually makes sake there.

とても気さくな方で、人柄のよさが伝わってきました。
He was very friendly, and I could feel how nice he was.

酒造りに使われている井戸も見せてもらいました。
He also showed us the well used for making the sake.

それぞれの製造工程を、映像と一緒に説明してくれました。
He explained each step of the brewing process with videos.

見学をしながら、「この人のお酒を飲んでみたい！」と思いました。
During the tour, I thought, “I want to try the sake this person makes!”

お酒だけではなく、造っている人の人柄も素敵だと感じました。
I felt that not only the sake, but also the personality of the person who makes it was wonderful.

とても癒やされる酒蔵見学でした。
It was a very relaxing and enjoyable brewery tour.

試飲できるお酒もたくさんありました。
There were many kinds of sake to try.

今回は、生酒を2種類いただきました。
This time, I tried two kinds of nama-zake, or unpasteurized sake.

一口目から、「うまい！」と思いました。
From the first sip, I thought, “Wow, this is delicious!”

今まで、生酒はフルーティーなイメージがありました。
Until then, I had thought of nama-zake as being fruity.

でも、これは味わいがしっかりしていて、香りもとても印象的でした。
But this one had a rich flavor, and the aroma was also very impressive.

今まで味わったことのない感じで、感動しました。
It was something I had never tasted before, and I was really impressed.

長時間運転する予定だったので、今回は冷蔵保存ができませんでした。
Since I had a long drive ahead of me, I couldn’t keep the sake refrigerated.

そこで、後日オンラインショップで買うことにしました。
So I decided to buy it later from their online shop.

オンラインでも販売されているので、また家でこの味を楽しみたいと思います。
They also sell it online, so I would like to enjoy this taste again at home.

周辺には、展示を見たり、500円ほどで試飲できたりする酒蔵もいくつかあります。
There are also several other sake breweries nearby where you can see exhibitions and try sake for around 500 yen.

それぞれ魅力がありますが、個人的には、ここで働いている方の雰囲気がとても好きでした。
They each have their own charm, but personally, I really liked the atmosphere and the people working here.

「この人が造ったお酒を、また飲みたいな」と思えるような見学でした。
It was a tour that made me think, “I want to drink this person’s sake again.
